AWARENESS + ACTION = SOCIAL CHANGE
Created by a Survivor for Survivors
The YVH (Your Voice is Heard) Fashion Show was created by Samantha Townsend in 2019, a year after her own assault case was set to go in front of a grand jury but was ultimately dropped. In the year that followed, Samantha found a unique way to make her voice heard and begin her healing journey. What started as a personal outlet quickly grew into a meaningful event that helps others heal through the same creative and empowering platform. Today, the YVH Fashion Show has become an annual event that many look forward to, bringing together survivors, advocates, and the community. It is now in the process of becoming a foundation to continuously fund resources for survivors in the Treasure Valley, supporting organizations like WCA and Faces of Hope, both of which played a significant role in Samantha’s own healing journey. She remains forever grateful for their support.

A lifelong creator, she now focuses on refining her craft through upcycling and embroidered imagery, blending tradition with personal expression.
